About Me
I love mountains, travel, feminism, and naps. I was born half a mile from a cornfield.
Some of my favorite authors are Octavia Butler, Shirley Jackson, Carmen Maria Machado, Karen Russell, and George Saunders.
I'm the managing editor for Southern Humanities Review.
Before that, I earned my Master's in English and creative writing at Texas Tech University where I also worked as an Associate Editor for Iron Horse Literary Review and taught First Year Writing. A copy of my teaching philosophy can be found here.
